(BLOOMINGTON) Indiana University Police arrested 30-year-old Ramtin Thang, Monday, after he allegedly offered a 19-year-old IU student $1,000 for sex.
That incident took place on Sept. 24th. The student told police she was walking north on Rose Avenue to the Student Recreational Sports Center around 10:30 p.m. , when she was approached by a Filipino man, later identified as Thang. The student says Thang offered her $1,000 a month to have sex with him. The student didn't know Thang, but she did give a description to police.
On Monday another female contacted police after Thang allegedly approached her and began talking about a movie. The two exchanged phone numbers. He then sent a text message to the woman, who thought the exchange was strange and called police. Police were able to determine Thang was the man that approached the first student.
Thang was arrested on three counts of patronizing prostitution and booked into the Monroe County Jail.
