(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was injured Monday night while loading machinery onto a trailer attached to a vehicle on Sherwood Road.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 62-year-old Timothy Jean of Mitchell was attempting to load machinery onto trailer attached to a 1995 Ford F-350 when the vehicle came out of park and began rolling down the hill.
Jean attempted to jump off the trailer but got his foot caught, causing him to tumble off the trailer and to the ground.
Police say, the trailer wheels ran over his left leg. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
The truck and trailer continued down the hill, ran off the roadway and collided with a tree causing damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle.
