(OOLITIC) - The Oolitic Festival is set for October 20-21st and Oolitic Haunted School will continue every Saturday in October.
The theme this year for the festival is Boolitic and is accompanied by a magic show, comedians, a costume contest, trunk - or - treat, Oolitic's Got Talent Contest, Fall in the Autumn Memories Pageant and live music.
The Oolitic Haunted School is open every Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and admission is $10.
The Oolitic Festival Committee invites all to participate in the events at the Oolitic Community Center this year at the festival as it could be the last time using at that location for the haunted school, festival activities, and other community events.
Oolitic's Got talent prelims will be held from 11 a.m. until noon with finals following at 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Oct. 21st.
Judging of the Fall in the Autumn Memories Pageant Mini through Junior Miss divisions will be on Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Christian Church. The queen contest will take place Oct. 19 at the church at 6:30 p.m.
Crowning of all winners will be Oct. 21st at 10 a.m. in Oolitic.
Live music at the Oolitic Festival will be from 1 p.m. until 11:35 p.m. with the following acts: One Hot Nun, Thin Lines, Make My Millennium, Ozzie, Serene Sounds, Henry, The Buzzkill Poets, Misunderstood, Offhand, Candle Burns White, Kings Amongst Men, Von Horror, From These Ruins and T - Drank.
At 6 p.m. on Oct. 21st the Oolitic Festival Parade will begin.
