(BLOOMINGTON) - Throughout the month of October, Bloomington residents and guests will have opportunities to interact with City of Bloomington department leaders at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market (401 N. Morton St.) through the “Mayor at the Market” series.
All are invited to attend the market throughout the month to discuss upcoming projects and future initiatives, and to learn more about the City.
Alex Crowley, Director of Economic and Sustainable Development, will host "Mayor at the Market" this Saturday, October 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Join Alex to discuss the City's upcoming development and sustainability efforts, including the Trades District and the Monroe County solar initiative.
On Saturday, October 21, Director of Parks and Recreation Paula McDevitt will host the market from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. She will be available to discuss the Farmers' Market as well as upcoming activities throughout the community.
On Saturday, October 28, Director of Utilities Vic Kelson will host the Market from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., also in front of City Hall. He will be available to discuss the programs of the City of Bloomington Utilities, as well as answer questions about the City's upcoming water main replacements.
The public is encouraged to attend any or all of these "Mayor at the Market" opportunities to interact with City staff. There are no formal agendas, just a chance to meet and share thoughts, concerns and ideas. All are welcome.
