(MITCHELL) - The 10th annual worldwide Scott Kelby Photowalk will take place Oct. 7 in cities all over the world, including Spring Mill State Park.
Gary R. Morrison a Bloomington-based landscape and wildlife photographer will lead the walk through the Pioneer Village. Those participating will photograph the inside and outside of building as well as Mill Creek. Morrison says the various houses and shops, such as the woodworking, pharmacy, distillery and weaver's shops, provide a variety of photographic opportunities.
This walk is the second Morrison has lead at Spring Mill State Park. He purchased his first camera when he was 10 years old and has had a life-long passion for photography. Morrison studied photography and taught a photography class while in graduate school. He recently retired from his position as a professor and now spend as much time as possible photographing the beauty of southern Indiana's landscape. He has led a number of photography workshops and hikes, and he was an artist-in-residence at T.C. Steele Historic Site in 2015.
The event is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, visit www.worldwidephotowalk.com and locate Mitchell, Ind., and complete the free sign-up form. There is an admission fee to the park.
At the end of the photowalk, the group will convene to share their images and experiences.
