(SEYMOUR) - A Seymour man was arrested Saturday morning after fleeing from police.
Police arrested 20-year-old Cody Hurley on charges of resisting arrest with a vehicle, resisting arrest by fleeing on foot, never being licensed to drive, reckless driving and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
The pursuit began a 4:15 a.m. Saturday after a Seymour Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle near East Tipton Street. Hurley stopped just long enough for the officer to get out of the patrol vehicle and then took off.
Police ended up putting down tire deflation devices, with the vehicle eventually crashing near the 100 block of East Oak Street, where Hurley rolled the vehicle near the railroad tracks.
Police say that Hurley tried to run away but was stopped in the 100 block of West Laurel Street and arrested.
