(DUGGER) - Three people were injured in a head-on crash on State Road 54, west of Dugger, Saturday morning.
According to a Sullivan County Police report, 53-year-old Charles Fisher of Dugger was traveling east on State Road 54 in a Jeep Cherokee when he began weaving as he approached the intersection of County Road 50 South.
Witnesses told police Fisher appeared to be fatigued.
As the Jeep neared County Road 50, the Fisher suddenly turned east, resulting in the Jeep colliding head-on with a westbound Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 47-year-old Ross Deschamp.
Fisher suffered lacerations and complained of chest pain.
Deschamp and his passenger, 47-year-old Dawn Deschamp of Jasonville, suffered contusions and lacerations. Dawn Deschamp also suffered a hand and leg injury.
All three were taken by ambulance to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for treatment.
Police say the air bags were credited in saving their lives.
Charles Fisher was cited for driving left of center.
The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Indiana State Police, Dugger Town Marshal, along with Carlisle, Sullivan City Fire and Greene County Ambulances and Union Fire and Rescue.
