(GREENE CO.) - The Greene County Sheriff’s Department arrested two Indianapolis men Monday afternoon while investigating a suspicious vehicle on State Road 57.
According to a news release from the Greene County Sheriff's Department, police arrested 30-year-old Vernon Richardson and 28-year-old Kenneth Mowery after they ran from the vehicle when the deputy pulled up on the scene.
Their vehicle, which was seized and stolen property from Vanderburgh County, was found in the cargo compartment.
Deputies say it appears the men may be involved in thefts in multiple counties. State police have been called in to assist with the investigation due to other counties being involved.
Both Richardson and Mowery are facing preliminary charges of pointing a firearm, intimidation with a firearm, resisting arrest and theft.
