(BEDFORD) - The White River Humane Society Mutt Strut is Saturday, November 4th at Thornton Pavillion.
The event will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will take place rain or shine.
Those attending must pre-register by November 3 at this link. The cost to attend is $16 if you register by Nov. 3rd, after the cost increases to $20. All proceeds will be used to benefit the shelter animals. Register includes entry to strut and costume contests, pictures with your dog, a treat bag and fun games.
The the one mile walk will begin at 2:30 p.m. and takes about 30 minutes or less to complete.
Owners can only bring one of their 4-legged family members and must be dog-friendly and have a valid rabies certificates in order to participate. No retractable leashes are permitted.
This year there will be free apple cider and snacks for doggy parents and their guests.
After the strut, there will be a contest which include the following categories:
To earn WRHS Best In Show, the owner/dog must earn the most money for the shelter. Pledge sheets are available at the shelter or can be emailed to the owner. The owner/dog that raises the most money for the event will earn the title Best In Show.
