(FAYETTEVILLE) - A Williams teen was seriously injured after he was thrown from his Jeep Wrangler on Fayetteville Coxton Road Saturday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 18-year-old Austin Jovanovich was traveling south on Fayetteville Coxton Road in his 2007 Jeep Wrangler but told police he couldn't remember what happened to cause him to crash his vehicle.
Witnesses told police Jovanovich was traveling down a curved grade when the Jeep appeared to lose traction and began fish tailing. The vehicle left the west side of the road and struck some rocks and then flipped twice, ejecting Jovanovich from the vehicle.
The vehicle landed upright, rolling back across the roadway and stopping in a ditch.
Jovanovich suffered internal injuries and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
