(BEDFORD) - An Avoca man complained of chest pain after the load in his tractor-trailer shifted on the ramp on State Road 37.
According to a Bedford Police report, 58-year-old Brian Wagner was driving a 2016 Frieghtliner Cascadia with a flatbed trailer owned by Gypsum Express northbound on State Road 37 and was approaching the up ramp to continue north on State Road 37.
As Wagner entered the curve he felt the load shift and the tractor-trailer began to turn over. The tractor-trailer flipped on its side and then struck the guardrail.
Both witnesses to the accident say Wagner was traveling at the speed limit as he entered the ramp.
Police say a strap that was near the front of the trailer snapped causing the load to slide and shift.
