(BEDFORD) - Bertha’s Mission will be serving a Thanksgiving meal on Saturday at First Baptist Church from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Janice Nickeo-Pendergrass, director of Bertha's Mission, says everyone is welcome to share in the meal.
She needs volunteers and drivers to transport dinners or individuals wanting to attend the event and to help prepare and serve the meal at the church. Delivery and transportation is intended for the elderly, disabled or homebound.
She is wanting everyone needing a meal to come share in the delicious food, community fellowship and deep faith as they thank the Lord for his many blessings.
Performing during the dinner will be Zion's Joy!. The group is comprised of nine melodious voices whose mission is to sing and testify of God's goodness, mercy and salvation to all.
The line-up of Zion's Joy! includes sopranos Kay Insley and Lyn MacDonald-Sigman. Altos are Lynette Hiser, Karen Hall and Sharon Rimmer. Tenors include Jeffery Porter and Richard O. Jackson with Freddie Bolden and Robert W. Stevenson singing baritone and bass.
Zion's Joy! has taken their ministry to numerous churches and venues across Indiana as well as other cities throughout the United States.
