(BLOOMINGTON) - In addition to the normal City of Bloomington closings around the Thanksgiving holiday, Bloomington Animal Control and Animal Shelter will be closed Saturday, November 26, and Sunday, November 27.
The additional closings give staff an opportunity to focus on caring for animals currently in its care.
Despite closings, Animal Shelter staff will be available throughout the weekend to field calls regarding lost-and-found pets. The community is encouraged to report stray or missing animals by leaving a detailed message at (812) 349-3492.
Animal Control officers are available at all times to handle emergencies. Call (812) 339-1444 to report an aggressive or injured animal, and an officer will be dispatched.
The Animal Shelter reopens for normal business hours on Monday, November 28.
