(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Police Department, along with hundreds of Law Enforcement agencies across the state of Indiana, will be participating in Blitz #92, Safe Family Travels.
Officers will be focusing on seat belt and impaired driving enforcement during this blitz. The additional enforcement period will occur between now and December 3rd.
The Thanksgiving Holiday is one of the most highly traveled times across the United States. In 2015, 386 people died during the traditional four day Thanksgiving weekend.
Bloomington Police would like to encourage all individuals to buckle up and to refrain from texting and driving. Also, if you decide to enjoy a few drinks, be sure to have a designated driver or a plan to safely arrive home.
