UPDATED: City-Wide Boil Order Issued For Bedford

(BEDFORD) - Effective immediately a city-wide precautionary boil order has been issued. This includes Oolitic, East Lawrence and parts of North Lawrence Water.

Areas effected include Peerless, East Oolitic, Bailey Scales Road, the Mount Pleasant area and Needmore area east of State Road 37.

This precautionary boil order will remain in force until further notice. The order was issued due to storm damage.

Bring all water to a boil.

Let water boil vigorously for 2 minutes.

Let water cool before using, or alternatively, use bottled water.

Pre-boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, brushing teeth, washing vegetables, washing dishes, making infant formula, all food preparation and consumption, and making or using ice until further notice.
