(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Fire Department firefighters were called to an apartment building in the 2800 block of West Heartwood Court at 8:55 p.m. Wednesday.
When firefighters arrived smoke was coming from the windows of one apartment.
Firefighters found a grease fire in the kitchen and were able to contain the blaze to that room.
But heavy smoke caused the residents of that apartment to have to leave for the night.
