North Lawrence Community Schools Letter Grade Improves

(UNDATED) - The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) released the 2016-17 School Accountability Grades. Nearly 25 percent of schools improved one or more letter grades including North Lawrence Community Schools who went from scoring a C to scoring a B.
The total number of A rated schools increasing by close to six percent. Overall, 62 percent of schools received an A or B.
Of schools locally, Medora Community School Corporation's grade dropped the most from a B to a D.
The following is a list of grades:
- Mitchell Community Schools grade remained the same - C
- Shoals Community School grade remained the same - B
- Loogootee Community School Corporation remained the same - B
- Monroe Community School Corporation improved from a B to A
- Brown County School Corporation remained the same - B
- Salem Community Schools improved from a C to B
- Bloomfield School District remained the same - B
- Eastern Greene Schools remained the same - B
- Linton Stockton School Corporation dropped from a B to a C
- Medora Community School Corporation dropped from a B to a D
- Seymour Community Schools remained the same at a C
- Brownstown Community Schools remained the same at a B
- Orleans Community Schools remained the same at a B
- Paoli Community School Corporation remained the same at a C
- Springs Valley Community School Corporation improved from a C to a B
