(BEDFORD) - A 22-year-old Oolitic man was arrested Wednesday after a woman accused him of choking, punching, and kicking her and then confining her to a bathroom against her will.
Bedford Police arrested Trent Boruff on charges of criminal confinement with bodily injury, intimidation, domestic battery, domestic battery in the presence of a child younger than the age of 16 and strangulation.
According to police, at 8:05 p.m. on Wednesday officers were called to Ted Jones Drive apartments after a report of battery.
When police arrived, the victim told police Boruff punched her in the head, kicked her and choked her because she wasn't feeling well. He then confined the woman to the bathroom.
After some time Boruff feel asleep and that is when the woman escaped, got to a phone and texted a friend who called police.
