(LAWRENCEPORT) - A Bedford woman was injured after her vehicle struck a deer on Rivervale Road early Sunday morning.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 18-year-old Kayln Tincher of Bedford was traveling south on Rivervale Road around 1:30 a.m. when a deer ran into the path of her 2004 Pontica Vibe.
Police say Tincher swerved her car to avoid hitting the deer and the car ran off the left side of the road and into a tree head-on.
Tincher complained of stomach and hip pain and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
