(UNDATED) - Indiana’s unemployment rate decreased to 3.7 percent in November, down from 3.9 percent the previous month.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says while the state lost 4,200 private sector jobs last month, the unemployment rate remains below the national average of 4.1 percent.
Lawrence County's employment rate took a jump from 4.0 percent in October to 4.2 in November, placing 8th in the state. Currently Lawrence County has 886 unemployed, a jump from 822 in October.
Locally, Greene County had the highest unemployment rate at 4.4 with Dubois County ranking the best at 2.4.
The worse in the state was Fayette County at 4.9 percent.
