(BLOOMINGTON) - The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2018 Educators of the Year.
The Chamber's Franklin Initiative invites you to recognize an outstanding educator or program for these award categories:
Outstanding Educator - recognizes an individual teacher, program director, counselor, administrator or instructional staff member at any state accredited school within the Monroe County. Bloomington-based Solution Tree will donate to each awardee an all-expense paid in-service to any Solution Tree training seminar offered throughout the US, plus $500 cash to the awardee's school
Leading Light - recognizes an individual or exemplary program that enhances the education community. Previous recipients of this award include: Prism Youth Community, the Panther Activity Club and more.
The deadline to nominate is Tuesday, Jan. 9th.

The 17th Annual Educators of the Year Dinner & Awards is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 21 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Monroe County Convention Center.
Individual tickets are $35, student tickets $20 or a table of 8 for $500.
