(BLOOMINGTON) - Officials have released the name of the man killed in a fatal shooting in Bloomington on Saturday night.
Monroe County Coroner Joani Shields says 36-year-old Howard Davis II of Bloomington died of multiple gunshot wounds and has ruled his dead a homicide.
According to Bloomington Police Captain Steven Kellams, officers were called to an apartment complex around 7 p.m. on Saturday at 1440 North Woodburn Avenue after a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived they found that Davis dead and a second 36-year-old black man had been shot.
Police are not identifying the man or his condition at this time. He was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
Police are looking for two suspects - both black men who were wearing blue jeans, dark hooded sweatshirts and masks.
Investigators believe the men were attempting to rob the two victims of drugs and money when the shooting took place.
