(BEDFORD) - The Salvation Army needs bell ringers.
Currently Red Kettles are only set up at Wal-Mart and Rural King from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Normally they are also located at Priceless IGA and JC Penney, but there are not enough volunteers.
The Red Kettle funds support the local community. Money raised here stays here, helping provide emergency assistance to Lawrence County residences.
Any one or group wanting to volunteer to be bell ringers can call Mary Baker, ministries specialist for Lawrence County's Salvation Army at (812) 276-5831 or stop by the office located inside the Lawrence County Senior Citizens Center at 2205 Washington Avenue. The office is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
1340 AM WBIW welcomes comments and suggestions by calling 812.277.1340 during normal business hours or by email at comments@wbiw.com
