(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomingfoods is undergoing another change as general manager Tony Alongi has announced his resignation from the local co-op.
He will leave the position in mid-Jauary. Alongi started the job in March of last year.
The board will select an interim general manager to run the co-op while it looks for a permanent replacement.
"It has been an enormous privilege to lead Bloomingfoods during an important period of transformation and I want to thank our staff and members for both their continued support and their patience during what has been a time of endless change for the Co-op," Alongi says in an email.
Bloomingfoods, a member-owned food cooperative, has been a community-owned business since 1976.
