(WILLIAMS) - Two people were arrested in Williams after they stole a vehicle out of Marion County.
According to Lawrence County Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults, deputies were alerted about the stolen 2003 Chevrolet Suburban after Bedford Police received information that the vehicle's GPS said the vehicle was on State Road 450 near Williams.
A deputy spotted the vehicle near Williams Dam and stopped the driver a short time later.
Police identified the driver as 37-year-old Larry Thompson and his passenger as 38-year-old Nichole Thompson, both of Indianapolis. Both were arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail on auto theft charges. Larry was also wanted on a warrant out of Marion County for petition to revoke probation.
Nichole was also charges with false informing after she gave police a fake name and trafficking with an inmate after she was found to be hiding a glass smoking device inside her body.
The stolen vehicle was towed from the scene and is being held pending Marion County's investigation.
