(INDIANAPOLIS) - Tanning salons would be off-limits to minors if a bill the Senate is considering becomes law.
Four years ago, legislators banned kids under the age of 16 from tanning parlors, and required 16-and-17-year-olds to have parental consent.
Bloomington dermatologist Carrie Davis says every exposure to tanning beds increases your risk of skin cancer, and says the state should do the same thing it does with cigarettes and limit them to adults, with no parental exception.
