(GREENE CO.) - A Greene County man was arrested after a confrontation with a sheriff deputy on Saturday night.
The incident happened when Russell Goodman Jr. approached a deputy investigating an abandoned vehicle on County Road 400 North.
Goodman had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failure to appear in court. While Goodman was being placed in handcuffs, he attempted to run from the deputy. The deputy caught Goodman and then had to tase him after a struggle began. Goodman continued to struggle and again ran from the deputy. He was tackled by the officer and then arrested.
The deputy found an expired prescription drug in Goodman's pocket.
Goodman was arrested on the outstanding warrant and new charges of resisting law enforcement and possession of a controlled substance.
