(BEDFORD) - Bedford Police officers arrested two Orange County women after a report of two women passed out in a vehicle at the Super 8 Motel.
Police arrested 52-year-old Deidra Shuler of Orleans on charges of public intoxication, possession of meth and marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and 37-year-old Melissa Terry of Paoli on a charge of public intoxication.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says that when officers arrived at the motel they found Shuler slumped over inside a vehicle in front of the motel and Terry inside the motel at a computer station. Both women were impaired.
When officers were speaking with Shuler she attempted to hide an item in her waistband. The item was a container with burnt marijuana cigarettes inside.
Inside the vehicle police found a smoking device that tested positive for meth.
Both women remain in jail this morning.
