(CARLISLE) - A Carlisle woman was arrested after she allegedly wrote more than $30,000 in stolen checks.
According to a Sullivan County Police, 51-year-old Lois McCammon took numerous checks from the victim and over the course of several years took more than $30,000 from the victim. Police say McCammon has access to the victim's home where she allegedly took the checks without the victim knowing.
McCammon is facing four felony counts of forgery and three misdemeanor counts of theft.
Police say most of the illegal activity took place in Sullivan County. They also claim McCammon used stolen checks in the amount of more than $1,600 on four separate occasions at the Linton Walmart. Security video captured the purchases.
