(LINTON) - The 9th annual Marsh Madness Sandhill Crane Festival is March 2-3.
According to festival chairman Bruce Moore, the Goose Pond wetlands south of Linton are already seeing a huge influx of migratory birds.
The Marsh Madness Sandhill Crane Festival is a community-based event timed to coincide with the peak Sandhill Crane and waterfowl migration at Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area in Greene County.
Festival headquarters are at Humphrey's Park in the nearby city of Linton.
In addition to guided bus tours of the wetlands on Saturday March 3, the Linton City park will be packed with kids activities, food and educational displays for all ages.
Tickets can be purchased for the Saturday bus tours and park activities at the door that day.
Tickets for the Friday night kick-off banquet can be purchased online at marshmadness.info.
