(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after Lawrence County Police were alerted to a woman causing a disturbance in the 200 block of Liberty Street, Thursday night.
Police were called to a home at 7:36 p.m. after the caller reported 37-year-old Janna McIntire was at the home causing a disturbance.
When police arrived McIntire was still at the home and appeared to be intoxicated.
"She was told several times to leave and at one point she raised her fists at the officers," Chief Deputy Aaron Shouls says. " At that point she was placed under arrest and after a brief struggle, she was cuffed and placed into a patrol car. At that point she kicked one of the officers."
The officers suffered a cut to his cut to his hand as a result of being kicked.
McIntire was transported to the Lawrence County Jail on charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
