(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman suffered bruises and contusions to her head and knee after she crashed her car the intersection of North Jackson Street and Dive Road early this morning.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 20-year-old Faith Hickman of Bedford was traveling to her parents house at 1:09 a.m.
Police say Hickman was traveling north on North Jackson Street and was approaching the intersection of Dive Road when she applied her brakes and her 2009 Audi began to slide on the snow-covered roadway.
Police say the snow-covered road was "extremely hazardous".
The car went through the intersection and hit a rock embankment on the north side of the roadway.
Hickman was treated at the scene by IU Health Hospital ambulance crew. She refused to be transported to the hospital.
