(BLOOMFIELD) - Bloomfield Police investigated a threat made Tuesday afternoon at a Bloomfield School.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., Bloomfield School District Administration was notified of an apparent threat, communicated by a student, while outside on a scheduled fire drill. School administration and police immediately talked to witnesses and the student that had reportedly communicated the threat.
After a lengthy investigation, including several interviews and a home assessment, no imminent danger was apparent. School administration has suspended the student and will take all information gathered in the investigation and take action as needed.
Police and school officials ask that Parents/Guardians talk to their children and explain to them the impact of their statements they make and that theses statements are not "cool" or "funny".
