(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police arrested 13 people during a drug-dealing investigation that began in September.
Bloomington Police Capt. Steve Kellams says many of those arrested are transporting the drugs from the Chicago area.
Capt. Kellams says officers secured warrants and searched five homes after undercover officers and confidential informants carried out controlled buys of drugs while detectives conducted surveillance.
The warrants were all for locations in Bloomington. These locations included 1506 W. 11th St., 1297 N. Maple St., 4228 W. Cherry Orchard Court, 3210 W. Tapp Road and 1420 N. Arlington Park Drive.
Members of the Indiana State Police, Ellettsville Police Department, Drug Enforcement Agency and U.S. Marshals Service assisted Bloomington police in serving the warrants.
Police seized three handguns, one shotgun and one rifle, one stolen handgun and one stolen motorcycle during the investigation in addition to small amounts of heroin, cocaine and meth.
There are warrants out for the arrest of five more Bloomington residents in relation to the ring.

The following people have been arrested in this investigation since January:
Terrance D. Sanders, 19, of Chicago Heights, Illinois, faces three charges of dealing narcotic drugs and three charges of conspiracy to deal narcotic drugs. His court records list a local address of West Cherry Orchard Court. His bond at the Monroe County Jail is $251,000.
Timothy D. Sanders, 25, of Griffith, faces three charges of conspiracy to deal narcotic drugs. His bond at the jail has been set at $251,000.
Colin Brandon-Aamond Humphries, 32, also of Griffith, faces three charges of conspiracy to deal narcotic drugs. His bond has been set at $251,000.
Chad Allen Sylvester, 25, who lives on West 11th Street, faces three charges of conspiracy to deal narcotic drugs. His bond has been set at $251,000.
Tyrone M. Adams, 32, who has a North Maple Street address, faces two charges of conspiracy to deal narcotic drugs. His bond has been set at $251,000.
Lisa Michelle Edwards, 36, who has a West Tapp Road address, faces two charges of conspiracy to deal narcotic drugs. Her bond has been set at $101,000.
Brittney Nicole Embry, 28, who has multiple addresses in Bloomington, has been charged with conspiracy to deal narcotic drugs and possession of a narcotic drug. Her bond at the jail is $20,500.
Seth J. Patterson, 38, of Ellettsville, faces charges of dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of meth and obstruction of justice. Since his arrest during a Jan. 17 traffic stop, Patterson has been held without bond at the jail.
Latoya Evans, 35, who lives at North Arlington Road, has been charged with possession of a narcotic drug. Her bond has been set at $10,500.
Chad Pante, 39, who has a North Illinois Street address, faces two counts of possession of a narcotic drug. His bond has been set at $6,000.
Shawna Roberts, 36, of West 12th Street, was arrested on a possession charge. Her bond was also set at $6,000.
Kary Todd, 40, of Solsberry, faces one possession charge. She has been released from the Greene County Jail after posting a $400 bond.
Jessica Rhodes, 34, of Spencer, was arrested on charges of visiting a common nuisance and unlawful possession of a syringe. She remains jailed on a $2,500 bond.
