(BEDFORD) - A Campbellsburg man was injured after he crashed his pickup truck on State Road 60 East near Spring Mill State Park early Wednesday morning.
Burks told police he was traveling too fast for the road conditions. Police say Burks was traveling between 60 to 65 miles per hour when his 2002 Toyota Tacoma slid off the right side of the highway, went up an embankment, turned 180 degrees after striking several trees and then came to a stop facing west.
Burks was not wearing his seatbelt and landing in the passenger seat of the truck.
He suffered cuts to his elbow and lower arm.
