(BLOOMINGTON) - On Monday, February 5, the Animal Shelter will be closed to allow for the delivery of new animal housing. New kennels will be arriving throughout the day via freight, which will cause an increase in congestion to the parking area of the Animal Shelter.
Phone lines will remain open to take phone calls and dispatch Animal Control Officers during normal business hours. If you have a stray or missing animal, or need assistance from an Animal Control Officer, please call (812) 349-3492. Outside of normal business hours, please call (812) 339-1444.
The Shelter will resume its normal hours of operation on Tuesday, February 6. The City of Bloomington Animal Shelter is open for visitation on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Fridays from noon to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Adoptable animals and found animals can be seen on the Shelter website at https://bloomington.in.gov/animal-shelter.
