(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Highway Superintendent David Holmes says the following roads are flooded and should be avoided:
Holmes ask that motorist not go through high water because it is dangerous.
The National Weather Service says the east fork of the White River in Lawrence County measured 31 feet in Rivervale at 7:30 a.m. today. It is expected to peak sometime between today and Wednesday morning at nearly 32 feet.
White River at the Bedford Boat Club was measured 26 feet this morning, and will peak at 29 feet by Wednesday morning.
In Williams, the river measured at 8 feet high and is expected to peak at 10 feet by Thursday.
The NWS estimates the area will see between a quarter and a half of an inch of rain Wednesday.
In Orleans, Monroe and Adams streets between Second and Fourth streets as well as parts of north Fourth Street remain closed until further notice.
