(LOOGOOTEE) - Martin County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigations landed 7 people in jail on drug charges after multiple raids.
On Monday, 43-year-old Angela Reynolds of Shoals contacted a confidential informant to sell them meth. A Martin County deputy acting as an undercover officer picked up Reynolds South of Loogootee.
Sheriff Travis Roush and Chief Deputy Joshua Greene followed in an unmarked car. Reynolds' story changed once she was in the vehicle. Reynolds wanted to delay the delivery of the meth, but still took the money.
Anticipating the transaction would not be completed, officers ended the operation at a gas station in Shoals.
Reynolds had placed a gym bag in the back of the car when she was picked up. Upon searching the gym bag, police found a glass smoking pipe and a plastic container with a substance inside that tested positive for meth. Reynolds was then arrested on charges of conspiracy to deal meth, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Later, in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 6th, the Sheriff, Chief Deputy, and Deputy Harmon conducted a controlled buy in Loogootee.
During that buy, 52-year-old Tony Allen and 49-year-old Tammy Allen, both of Loogootee, sold meth to the undercover officer in their home. Police say there were minors present during the drug deal.
Police say there was also a pistol reported present during the transaction.
At 3 a.m. the operation was suspended and it was decided to execute a search warrant on the Allen home later in the morning when the minors would not be present.
At approximately 10 a.m., Loogootee Police Captain Hennette and Sheriff Roush lead the execution of the search warrant on the Allen's home in Loogootee. Upon arrival, officers were greeted by both Tony and Tammy Allen.
Officers handcuffed Tony Allen and removed a firearm from his hip.
Sheriff Roush then cleared the rest of house and found two males sleeping in the living room. These males were later identified as 25-year-old Tony Allen II and 27-year-old Patrick Mattingly, both of Loogootee.
Chief Greene, Deputy Reed, K9 Virka, and ISP Trooper Lents assisted in the search.
During the search of the mobile home, meth was found, some of which was cut up into lines on a glass mirror.
Trooper Lents cleared an outbuilding and found 32-year-old Stacy and 25-year-old Cody Fields in the structure, along with drugs in plain view. This included two lines of powder that later field tested positive for meth. Police say the outbuilding occupied by the Fields' had been converted into a living area.
Currency used in the drug transaction could not be found. It was later found by Captain Hennette at the Martin County BMV. Tammy Allen had been there earlier in the morning for licensing purposes, and had used the currency as payment.
Tony and Tammy Allen were arrested on charges of possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance, dealing meth, neglect of a dependent, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
Cody and Stacy Fields were arrested on charges of possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance, dealing meth, neglect of a dependent, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia
Patrick Mattingly was arrested on charges of possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance and dealing meth.
Tony Allen II was arrested on charges of possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police say additional charges are pending because these arrest occurred near a public park where children are often present.
