(BRAZIL) - One person died and two others were injured Tuesday afternoon in an apartment building fire in Brazil.
Brazil Fire Chief Jake Bennett says the six-story Meridian Towers, owned by the Brazil Housing Authority, housed 65 residents.
Residents displaced by the fire were taken to a local community center.
Chief Bennett says the fire started in a fourth-floor apartment. He added the cause of the fire remains under investigation by the state fire marshal's office.
The fire damaged one apartment unit, but much of the building had smoke and water damage.
