(SEYMOUR) - Indiana Department of Transportation’s Southeast District has begun accepting applications from area schools for participation in Paint the Plow for 2018.
High school, junior high and middle school art students are invited to develop graphic designs that promote school spirit, community pride, INDOT snow operations or highway safety. The students then Paint The Plow that has been delivered pre-primed by a nearby INDOT unit.
Last year, eleven schools within the INDOT Southeast District participated in the program.
In addition to being "out front" on INDOT trucks running wintertime snow routes, Paint The Plow blades can be seen at summer events and fall parades.
The INDOT Southeast District includes schools in these counties: Bartholomew, Brown, Clark, Dearborn, Decatur, Floyd, Franklin, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Johnson, Monroe, Morgan, Ohio, Owen, Ripley, Scott, Switzerland and Washington.
Only students currently enrolled in the applicant school may participate.
