Police say 25-year-old Logan Kline of Mitchell was eastbound on State Road 60 East in a 2002 Ford Windstar when he went to make a left turn into the drive at 1813 State Road 60 East.
He told police, "There had been some cars that had passed and there was a vehicle that was getting ready to pull out of the driveway onto State Road 60 East."
Kline told police he was distracted and turned into the path of a 2009 Ford Flex driven by 60-year-old Norman Terrell, of Mitchell.
After the crash, Kline's vehicle went off the northside of the roadway and came to a stop in a yard facing west. Terrell's vehicle went off the northside of the roadway and stopped facing east.
Terrell told police he was traveling west on State Road 60 East when the Windstar pulled into his path. He told police he couldn't avoid the collision.
Terrell suffered face pain. His passenger 82-year-old Joan Terrell, of Mitchell, complained of chest pain.
Kline suffered contusions and bruises to his chest.
Police say there was some damage to decorations and the yard. The property owner Eddie Johnson was alerted to the damage.
