(NASHVILLE) - Two Brown County residents were injured after a head-on collision on Tuesday on Greasy Creek Road last night.
According to a Brown County Police report, 17-year-old Sydney Miller of Nashville was traveling north in the 2100 block of Greasy Creek Road when she lost control of her Buick LeSabre before colliding with a northbound truck driven by 41-year-old John Rodgers of Nashville.
A male witness who was standing in a driveway said Miller was going 40 to 45 miles per hour just before the accident. He told police he heard skidding and Miller's car cross into the northbound lane. The rear of the car rotated counterclockwise before striking the truck. The witness says the driver of the truck attempted to turn to avoid the collision.
Miller, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered head and leg injuries and was taken by ambulance to the intersection of Greasy Creek and Creamer road to be picked up by a helicopter and flown to an Indianapolis hospital.
Rodger suffered a cut on his ear and possible concussion and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Assisting at the scene were Nashville Police Department officers and firefighters with the Brown County Volunteer Fire Department.
