West Boggs Now Taking Applications For 2018 Season

(WEST BOGGS) - West Boggs Park is now accepting applications for the 2018 season.

There are openings in programming, maintenance, and customers service gate staff.

All of these jobs start pay at $10.41 an hour.

Those applying need to be willing to work some weekends, all major holidays, mornings, and evenings.

Program assistants are definitely needed to make the facility thrive. In this position you will be assisting our program director with anything from planning, set-up, and facilitating small arts and crafts all the way up to large events.

The 2018 Program Schedule hosts numerous awesome event dates and you could be part of what makes that happen.
Through some hard team work and dedication, you will be able to walk away from those events proud of your accomplishments. We do ask that you enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities and keep a constant smile.

Customers service gatehouse staff are the first people patrons see when they come in. This position is exciting in the sense that you get to meet and speak with numerous happy individuals as they enter or exit the facility. We have AM and PM shifts in the gatehouse and we also swap shifts to help one another out. During the busy times, employees are asked if they want additional hours to assist with the gatehouse. Candidates do need to possess computer and communication skills to work the gatehouse.

The maintenance department is always busy! The park has a few hundred acres to keep up and numerous projects that are improving the services provide. Jobs are not always limited to just lawn care and can incorporate numerous different tasks. All of our positions requires a high degree of physical strength and ability to cope with poor weather conditions. Although you may not always be around park users, we still need individuals that are willing and capable of communicating with campers and frequent park users. The maintenance staff must be willing to work as a team with our customer service and programming staff. Employees are subject to the weather but even despite the hard work, these jobs are often the most rewarding when you can see a job well done.

Glendale FWA Campground is a facility that has been in operated for six years. This campground is much smaller and quieter than WBP but is still very busy. The campers here are primarily visiting for fishing and hunting, but families often camp together. The campground is in need of two gatehouse attendants at the Glendale Campground office and one part-time maintenance employee. The gate staff will have a rotating schedule and does requires some extra hours during busy weekends. Employees must be willing to work holiday weekends at this location. Thorough communication with the West Boggs Park office is a must to ensure a great service to both you and customers.
