(BEDFORD) - The Ugly Duck Derby Belly Buster Celebrities were named at the kick off event at Smokin’ Jim’s BBQ Tuesday night at the Ugly Duck Derby Kickoff Event.
It was by popular demand that past winners and fan favorites come back to compete in 2018.

There will also be two new comers to the competition. They are Adam Young (not pictured) and DeWayne Turpen, City of Bedford Fire Inspector and Battalion Chief.
The Belly Buster contest will take place in May at the Ugly Duck Derby.
Those that took advantage of the one time deal of 40 ducks for $100 were also entered in for a chance to win a trip to Florida. Doug Kellams was the winner and he has the choice of vacationing to Orlando or Palm Beach, Florida.
The Boys and Girls club raised around $2,600 at Smokin' Jims BBQ at the event according to Brigitte Gurden, Chief Professional Officer of the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County. That number does not include ticket sales made by Ugly Duck Derby teams that were also selling adoptable ducks.
All proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lawrence County.
