According to Jasper Police, the 16-year-old female was traveling east on 14th Street in a 2004 Toyota Corolla around 5 p.m. and approaching the intersection of Main Street.
Police say the teen stopped at the intersection and then proceeded through. The Toyota she was driving was struck by a northbound 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 27-year-old Debbie Chasteen of Jasper. The Chevrolet truck struck the front passenger side of the Toyota.

Police say the teen was not injured. She did however lie to police saying she was a passenger in the Toyota. She then admitted to being the driver. She also told police she had a driver's license which police determined was another lie.
The teen was arrested on misdemeanor charges of false informing and operating a vehicle while never licensed and cited for failing to yield.
