(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Chamber Singers will present a sing-along reading of Handel’s Messiah, Parts 2 and 3, on Sunday, March 18, at 3 pm at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 100 N. State Rd. 46, Bloomington.
Parts 2 and 3 of this beloved oratorio, often referred to as the Easter sections, are associated with Christ's death and resurrection. Audience members are invited to sing along with the chorus or simply listen. For those who don't own a copy of the score, a limited number will be available for purchase or loan at the church.
The singers will be led by BCS Music Director Dr. Gerald Sousa. A small chamber orchestra will provide accompaniment.
As is the case with our annual Christmas Messiah Sing, this event is free and open to the public. Monetary donations will be accepted for the Community Kitchen of Monroe County.
