(LOOGOOTEE) - After years of planning, Daviess County officials officially broke ground on the Courthouse Annex project this morning.
County Commissioner Michael Taylor, who has been the guiding force on the Annex project, noted the $7.9 million building came in under budget and is adding no new taxes for Daviess County's taxpayers.
The Annex will solve the County's needs for more space, and will help patrons by centralizing county offices and services in one area.
