(ELNORA) - An annexation plan in Elnora looks dim.
According to the Odon Journal, the Elnora Town Board learned that a developer did not agree with an engineer's estimate of $1.6 million dollars from the Town of Elnora to pay for a project.
The plan was to annex a strip of land south of the I-69 exit at State Road 58 for a business development reported to possibly be a truck stop and possibly more.
Board President Jessie Emmons says the only way the town could afford it is if the developer sells bonds on his own and money from the Tax Increment Finance Zone pays the bonds off.
Emmons says efforts now are in the hands of the development.
