(MITCHELL) - The Friends of Spring Mill State Park are hosting an annual meeting at the Spring Mill Inn on March 29 at 6 pm. The group of volunteers has been working hard in the past year to support several new and innovative projects at Spring Mill State Park. They have more plans for the future but could use additional help.
The volunteer group would welcome more members and encourage people to come to the annual meeting to learn more about what they do to support projects and events at Spring Mill and help to preserve, restore, and interpret the natural and cultural heritage of the park. At the meeting people can not only learn what the group has accomplished in the past year but will also have an opportunity to learn some of the projects planned for 2018 and can suggest things they'd like to see the group focus on.
The meeting will be in the Oak Room at the Inn. There will be refreshments and door prizes, including an annual pass to the state parks.
Amber Hill, President of the Friends of Spring Mill State Park, noted, "I hope for a good turn out to share what our team of volunteers has accomplished. We are excited about what we've accomplished and are only limited in the future by how much help we have, so please come out, sign up and roll up your sleeves and help!"
Hill said we are lucky to have such an amazing state park locally with so much to offer and is glad there are dedicated volunteers who are working together to help make the park even better! For more information about the annual meeting contact friendsof.springmillstatepark@yahoo.com.
