(BLOOMFIELD) - The Greene County Commissioners have started the search for a county attorney.
The Greene County Daily World reports the attorney would be responsible for providing legal counsel to Greene County personnel and officials concerning the functions of Greene County Government.
Commissioners President Nathan Abrams went before the Greene County Council last month, stating the board wants to start the search early in order to ensure sufficient time for transition as longtime attorney Marilyn Hartman plans to retire.

Resume deadline is 4 p.m. on Friday, June 15, with an anticipated hiring decision by the board of commissioners by Aug. 1, 2018. The advertisement notes the Board of Commissioners are planning for a Sept. 1, 2018 starting date, with the exact date being negotiable. The salary range is $70,000 to $110,000, depending on experience, plus a benefits package.
